What about Oregon?
We know planning your perfect day can be a delightful task, but it’s all too easy to get swept away in decorations and guest lists and forget about the less exciting administrative details.
No worries though, we’re here to keep you on track with important things to know about hosting a destination wedding event in Oregon.
Whether you are from Oregon or planning a destination wedding there, Oregon offers many options for those who want to get married.
You can have a simple wedding, an elopement, or a large outdoor wedding.
Regardless of the type of ceremony you choose, all couples planning to marry in Oregon must comply with the state’s marriage license regulations. Once you apply for a license, you have between three and sixty days to become legally married before your license expires.
You can obtain a marriage application in any of Oregon’s 36 counties. Each county has slightly different requirements for fees and application processes. You can review the marriage license requirements by county here.
Now that we’ve got that nitty-gritty out of the way, let’s talk about some incredible places to host your destination wedding event in Oregon!
If you do not plan to get married at the county clerk’s office where you applied for your marriage license, you can plan almost any type of wedding that you want in Oregon. Since Oregon is such a geographically diverse state, there are many possibilities for beautiful wedding sites.
We’re going to look at some of those later.
Typically, the winter months of January, February and March are the least popular for Oregon weddings and June, August, September, and October are the most popular season to get married.
Whether your dream wedding takes place at a winery, a modern warehouse or a coastal elopement, Oregon venues are ready to help you celebrate the rest of your lives together.
From ballrooms to chateaus, there’s one thing in common with Oregon weddings: their intimate charm will have you feeling the romance.
Now (rubs hands together gleefully) … Let’s talk about locations!

Last year, one of our couples ventured out to Oregon for their destination wedding. Their venue of choice was Pacifica Garden.
Pacifica Garden has been the site of many charming and memorable weddings over the years, and the staff there is professional, gracious and want to make your destination wedding just as unforgettable.
While the staff at Pacifica Garden are rightfully proud of the array of services offered, the Wedding Garden is truly what sets them apart as a venue.
Set beside the still blue waters of the Lower Pond and shaded by green thickets of vegetation, the Wedding Garden provides a natural chapel for your wedding ceremony. The garden can accommodate about 250 guests and there are several options for seating arrangements.
